Layel's first time on sheep.
This was her first time seeing sheep and she did very well. She was calm with the sheep didn't take any cheap shots and Brenda said the sheep will like her for that. Layel began to balance and gather them naturally.

Out of the round pen and into the field!
Layel was more comfortable out in the field. There was a ewe who could tell she was young and let her know so by stomping her foot!

Sli's early days on sheep.
Sli was taught and handled by Brenda Buja, he was too much for me! She loved working with Sli and told me, " he had talent pouring out his ears". He graduated to the big field right away. Oh, how I remember my heart being in my mouth!

First instinct test... he passed!

Up in Lebanon, ME there was a little piece of heaven we were fortunate enough to be able to go herding there. It was on a beautiful river where everyone could swim in between working sheep. I especially loved it in the fall with the foliage and frost on the morning grass.
